Amanzi Camp

Amanzi camp is situated directly on the banks of the Zambezi's Ngwenya channel just two kilometres down stream from Anabezi. The name "Amanzi" means water in the local Tonga language and with the intimate position on the Zambezi proves a fitting name. The camp is intimate yet private with the tents generously spaced and connected with a raised walkway to the main area.

The main area offers a lounge, bar area and a swimming pool with stunning views of the mosaic of islands that are home to a group of majestic elephant bulls.

Amanzi is a new rustic yet luxurious new tented camp, designed to blend in with the African surroundings.
Located approximately 2 km’s downstream from Anabezi, the 4 tent camp is intimately set on the banks of the Ngwenya channel, of the Zambezi River.

Need to Know

Amanzi is Anabezi’s sister camp open for those travellers who prefer a more rustic feel.

The lodge has been well equipped, boasting new vehicles which have been fitted specifically to accommodate 4 guests comfortably. Our boat cruises on the scenic Zambezi River are a very relaxing way to view and learn about the animals that spend a lot of time by the water. The Zambezi River is also famous for the most spectacular fresh water fishing in the world. Tigerfish, a relative of the infamous piranha prove an exciting catch for any fisherman. These viscious predators can grow to 15kg/33lb and are certainly a prize to behold. The best time to catch Tigerfish is between September and November.
