Camp Moremi is a hidden gem situated where the Okavango Delta meets the vast plains of the Kalahari Desert in a sanctuary of Mopane forests, open grasslands, seasonal floodplains and ravine habitats. The camp is set under a green woodland canopy within the Xakanaxa area of Moremi Game Reserve, and forms part of the Desert and Delta Safaris. Camp Moremi is the ideal place for those who enjoy ‘unplugging’ from modern communications but still want the 21st century comforts. The camo offers an authentic and personal safari experience sleeping only 22 guests, ensuring guests receive personal attention and total privacy.

Experienced guides will introduce you to a whole new world of wildlife; watch a Leopard stretched out lazily in the branches of a Mopane tree, herds of Elephant grazing under a canopy of green or a pride of Lions camouflaged in the long grass. Moremi Game Reserve’s incredible wetlands support a vast number of antelope, including Impala, Kudu and Waterbuck. The majestic Fish Eagle and vivid Malachite Kingfisher are frequently seen and even the rare Pel’s Fishing Owl makes an occasional appearance, to the delight of guides and guests alike

The camp offers a broad range of safari activities that take place on both land and water. Land-based activities include morning and evening game drives conducted in open 4×4 vehicles where guests receive snack-hampers to be enjoyed in the wild. The exhilarating game drives provide the chance to track wildlife in the beautiful surroundings of Moremi Game Reserve, where sightings of lion, leopard, cheetah and wild dog are frequent. Water-based activities include explorations of the Xaxanaka Lagoon and Okavango channels by motorboat that offer sightings of water birds and hippos.


Two dining areas serve buffet-style food; special dietary needs are catered for by prior arrangement. Breakfast, brunch and high tea are served in the thatched boma; dinner is savoured under an ebony canopy in the dining room and nightcaps are enjoyed beside the warmth of the glowing fire pit. Guests can also relax by the secluded swimming pool, marvel at spectacular sunsets from the 
lagoon-side viewing deck, or enjoy the wildlife reference library, lounge and cocktail bar in the elevated thatch and timber main building.


There are 11 tents, and 1 family room with an En-suite bathroom comprising of a shower, vanity and toilet, and second bathroom with shower, vanity and toilet. Guests will enjoy the luxurious seclusion of East African-style safari tents, each one set on a raised teak deck, each featuring an en suite bathroom. Accommodating a maximum of twenty-four guest, Camp Moremi ensures exclusivity and privacy in a tranquil environment.
