Having been shortlisted for some Safari Awards, the camp won the runners up award for the 'Traveller’s Choice' for Best Camp in 2010. Guests love the combination of the 'bush and closeness-to-nature' experience that the camp provides along with the elegance, luxury and the personalised service.

Safaris are done in open game drive vehicles with a local guide. Safaris take place in early mornings and late afternoons when it is cooler and the game is more active.

The lounge and dining area is decorated with vibrant safari style, its soft intimate lighting assuring that this is the ultimate place to relax in between exciting game drives. Elephant, Monkeys, Impalas are amongst the camp's many regular wild visitors, whilst Samburu National Reserve has a good number of lions and leopards and offers the opportunity to see many species endemic to northern Kenya. Samburu's hot dry climate is also perfect for al-fresco breakfasts and three course lunches. Four course candle-lit dinners can be enjoyed in the cosy dining area under the magnificent African sky.

The 12 spacious tents have rustic and colorful African touches, offering all the comforts; including a private plunge pool on the deck, hot and cold running water, electricity (and complimentary herbal shower and bath products.)​
