Wildlife HighlightsWildlife Highlights

While it is possible to see wildlife from Kisima Ngeda this is not the main reason to visit us. Most of our clients visit local tribes, walk or hike around the lake or relax by our pool.

Local ActivitiesLocal Activities

Activities available whilst at Kisima Ngeda include the truly unique experience of following the Hadzabe tribe, the only surviving hunter-gatherer tribe in Tanzania, on their daily hunting and foraging. Guests can also visit the Datoga tribe and watch the blacksmith fashion heavy brass jewelry using bellows and handmade tools under an acacia tree. A normal day in Kisima Ngeda might start with a visit to the Hadzabe which normally lasts from 6 am to 11:30 am, then clients come back for lunch. At about 4 pm they leave again, to visit the Datoga tribe and come back around sunset. Kisima Ngeda has a stunning spot on the property where guests can go for sundowners before dinner and enjoy the views over the lake. Whenever they have free time the clients can rest, swim in the pool, walk on the lake shore or explore the acacia/palm forest nearby. They can do this without a guide, anytime they wish. The forest and the lake around the camp are ideal for bird watching, walking or hiking.
