Wildlife HighlightsWildlife Highlights

One of the main attractions of Matemwe is the world class diving at Mnemba Atoll. This area of ocean offers some of the best snorkeling and diving possible off Zanzibar, with a high chance of seeing turtles and wild dolphins in addition to the diverse and colourful coral reef fish. Here guests are afforded many activities that allow them to get close to local marine life. At low tide the sea goes right out making the lagoon too shallow for swimming but it does reveal a fascinating reef which you can explore for hours.
