Need to Know

Guests need to know the itineraries are all customised, personalised and detailed. Our itinerary starts from the moment the guests step foot in Tanzania to the moment they leave. The destinations in the West are approx 3 hours flights. The destinations are remote and tourist free.

Day 1 – 5 (4 nights): Serengeti National Park, Mwanga Moto Camp A 55 minutes flight brings you from Arusha to Serengeti National Park, Tanzania's oldest and most popular national park. Discover one of the largest and most varied concentrations of wildlife and landscapes in the whole of Africa. Immerse yourself in the experience as few others can. Our long history of providing luxury safaris makes us able to organize it for your seamlessly. Observe the prides of lion. The rare nocturnal serval cat before breakfast. Thousands of wildebeest after lunch. Mwanga Moto is set strategically amidst breathtaking landscapes and is full of charm, privacy and convenience. Lanterns by night, silver tea service with scones in the morning. Steamer chairs, cigars and cognac establish the library. The evening begins with hot showers followed by ice-cold drinks around a campfire. Dinner is a 3 or 4 course affair complemented by fine wines and fascinating tales. Each over-sized classic style tent ensures privacy with all its comforts. A truly magical experience! Day 5 – 8 (3 nights): Katavi National Park, Palahala Luxury Camp Within 2 hours and 45 minutes you fly from Serengeti National Park in the Northern part of Tanzania to Katavi National Park in the Western part of the country. Teeming with game and still rarely visited, it is a wilderness paradise. Remote and wild, Katavi National Park.Our seasonal camp is set up for 9 months of the year and is closed down during the rains. A truly exciting experience. Our 8 luxury tents with king-sized beds and goose down bedding, hand crafted furniture and extended eco-friendly bathrooms with hot showers. There is a spacious dining tent with lounge, bar and library, and an open terrace overlooking the river and the wonderfully peaceful African bush. Waiters are on hand to see to your every need while experienced chefs create mouth-watering delicacies to tease your taste buds. Evenings around a fire will finish off each day as drinks are served by our friendly staff. Each day brings a new experience. Open-sided 4x4 customized bush vehicles will be on hand for sunrise game drives with either breakfast in the bush or a leisurely breakfast later in camp. In the afternoon our experienced guides will take you on a walk or game drive, discovering the typical terrain of the Katavi landscape. Ending up with cocktails on the banks of the river or on the plains as the sun goes down. Day 8 – 12: (4 nights)Lake Tanganyika, Lupita Island An 20 minutes flight plus only 10 minutes by boat away you will find in the Southern part of Lake Tanganyika Lupita Island. This all-inclusive luxury resort is built on a 130 acre island nestling amongst the only group of remote islands on the Lake. A haven of tranquility and privacy, Lupita Island is the perfect finale to complete your Tanzanian experience. Designed to blend with the local environment, the 11 cottages and 2 family suites offer private plunge pools, magnificent lake views and total privacy. Butlers are available to accommodate your every need. The cuisine is exciting, globally inspired with emphasis or dine on exotic dishes made with local flavors. Have dinner at the beautifully designed dining terrace; dine alfresco. the main pool, or romantic at your private cottage. Lunches are a relaxing diversion either served around the pool or packed for a picnic lunch on one of the remote beach. Or just laze by the pool and order your favorite cocktail with a good book from our library. We make a fully-equipped dive operation available to you, with a PADI qualified Master Scuba Dive Instructor offering various dive activities as well as the PADI open water course. Come and explore this amazing place. Optional: Tanganyika Lake Cruises – The Winsor Rose Lake Tanganyika with its sapphire waters surrounded by lush awe inspiring mountains and hills. This historical, fossil lake holds 8% of the world's fresh water and it is the longest lake in the world. This fascinating lake it is remarkably clean and clear. Visibility under the water reaches more twenty meters. For divers and anglers, this is paradise, with hundreds of species of fish, and some of the finest game fish in Africa, including Goliath Tiger fish and Nile Perch. Lake Tanganyika is pure and unspoiled, just waiting to be discovered. Our Lake Cruiser Winsor Rose is a magnificent way to do this. This 48 foot 6 berth cabin cruiser goes out on the lake exploring hidden islands and small private beaches while cruising through the crystal clear waters.
